Poobong Tea estate

Poobong Tea Estate is nestled between the beautiful valley of Ghoom and Sukhia was established in 1921 by Duncan Brothers. Poobong, which meaning "Valley of Clouds," is located between 3800 and 6200 feet above sea level. This Tea estate consists of three varieties of tea bushes, primarily China, China hybrid and Assam hybrids. They have recently started planting Clonal plants, which will produce tea by 2024. The tea estate is well-known around the world for producing high-quality muscatle tea.

Dry Leaves

An outstanding blend of finely roasted black and coppery leaves with a light sprinkling of golden buds that emit a lovely musky scent.

INFUSION

Dark chocolate brown infusion with a light blend of dark greenish yellow leaves and a pleasant nutty scent.

LIQUOR

A beautiful amber liquor with a lovely fruity aroma. The aroma of the cup is deep and smoky, with a sweet honey accent and luscious plum flavours. The body grows more mature as the temperature drops, with a characteristic mouth sensation of caramelised pears.

STEEPING INFO

For a perfect cup of tea:

Take 1 cup of water (200 ml).
Heat it to 90-95°C.
Put 1 teaspoon (2.5g) of tea leaves in the water.
Steep the leaves for 3-5 minutes.
