Established during 1860-1864 amongst misty landscapes and scenic pine forests, the 166 hectares of Poobong are laden with China and Assam Hybrid tea buses. Only 3.5 km away from the little town of Ghoom, Poobong is blessed with a multitude of Himalayan fauna, flora, and many native Medicinal plants. A south and east facing garden, Poobong is certified under Rainforest Alliance and 'organic tea producer' by the IMO and presently produces top notch black teas in the region. Recently, Poobong has been striving for complete conversion into a bio-organic garden.
