About the Garden

Nestled in the misty hills of Kurseong at 4,500 feet, Giddapahar Tea Estate is one of Darjeeling's most boutique and beloved gardens. Established in 1881 and spanning just 90 hectares, this family-run estate has spent over a century perfecting its craft — producing small-batch teas of exceptional character that reflect the unique terroir of the Kurseong valley. Giddapahar is particularly celebrated for its First Flush teas, prized worldwide for their bright floral aromas and signature brisk freshness.

Tasting Notes

Dry Leaf
Lightly twisted, wiry leaves in shades of olive green, silver, and light brown — with fine tips and tender buds that hint at the care taken in every pluck.

Infusion
Bright greenish-brown leaves unfurl evenly, revealing classic two-leaf-and-a-bud plucks — the hallmark of a well-crafted First Flush.

Liquor

Steeping Info

☕For a perfect Cup of Tea:
🚰Take 1 cup of water (180 ml).
♨️Heat it to 90-95°C.
🥄Put 1 teaspoon (2.5g) of tea leaves in the water.
